1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the FastCare mobile application and its associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. FastCare provides a digital interface for virtual medical consultations, appointment booking, and healthcare financial management.
2. Nature of Service
FastCare is a technology platform that facilitates communication between patients and independent healthcare providers.
- Telehealth Limitations:Virtual consultations are not a substitute for in-person emergency medical care. In the event of a medical emergency, you must contact local emergency services immediately.
- No Doctor-Patient Relationship with FastCare:While the platform facilitates connections, FastCare itself does not provide medical advice. The medical professional providing the consultation is solely responsible for the clinical care provided.
3. User Accounts and Patient IDs
To access the services, users must register an account. If you are joining FastCare through a partner hospital, you may be required to sync your existing Patient ID to link your medical records and billing history. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Appointment Booking and Doctor Availability
- Real-Time Access:The platform utilizes an “ON/OFF” availability toggle for healthcare providers. A doctor’s appearance as “ON” does not guarantee an immediate connection but indicates they are currently accepting consultation requests.
- Cancellations:FastCare reserves the right to manage appointment scheduling and may implement policies regarding late arrivals or missed virtual appointments.
5. Payments and Invoicing
All financial transactions, including consultation fees and hospital invoices, are processed through the FastCare secure payment gateway. By initiating a payment, you authorize FastCare to collect the specified fees on behalf of the healthcare provider or medical facility. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in our refund policy.
6. Data Privacy and Compliance
FastCare is committed to the security of your health data.
- Regulatory Standards:Our data processing activities are designed to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.
- Usage Data:We may use anonymized data and tools like Mixpanel to track platform performance and improve user conversion and retention.
7. User Conduct and Prohibited Acts
Users are prohibited from:
- Providing false medical history or identity information.
- Recording virtual consultations without the explicit consent of the healthcare provider.
- Attempting to bypass the platform’s payment systems to contact providers directly.
8. Limitation of Liability
FastCare is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. FastCare shall not be liable for the clinical outcomes of consultations or for any technical disruptions during a virtual session
9. Termination
FastCare reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, including non-payment of invoices or the provision of fraudulent information.
